Delicious churros for any occasion.
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Flour All Purpose
- 1/4 cup Sugar White
- 1/4 cup Confectioner Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Butter to brush before coating
Mix water, salt, sugar, and oil in a small saucepan on stove top. Bring to boil and remove heat. Stir while adding flour until flour is mixed fully.
Let sit for 10 minutes or until cool.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees, line baking sheet with parchment paper or baking mat.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in pan for coating. Be sure to have a large enough pan to roll the churros in.
Fill a Ziploc or pastry bag with dough. Be sure the bag is fitted with a star tip.
Pipe dough into desired size strips. Use knife to cut at desired length.
Bake churros in oven for 10 minutes until ends are golden. Depending on thickness, the churros may need to bake for up to 20 minutes. To crisp edges, turn the oven to broil and carefully monitor for 3 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool.
Melt one tablespoon of butter and brush onto the churros. Roll churros in cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle desired amount of confectioner onto churros after rolling. Serve warm.
